Fifth Word from the Cross - Obedience
April 14, 2019 | Perry Kallis
What do your banker, mechanic and dentist all have in common (aside from the fact that you willingly give all of them money)? The answer is: that you “entrust all them with something valuable in order to preserve its value” (your money, your car, and your teeth)! Those are all earthly illustrations of the greatest of all treasures – our eternal souls. Into whose hand do you entrust that? In one of Jesus’ final words from the cross, He commits his very soul into God’s hands. The lesson of his obedience from the cross also rings true for us in personal ways in the Palm Sunday story and leads us into Easter week. Join us as we personalize Easter in these truths from the Bible on Sunday.
