Insomnia that Led to a Great Awakening

Insomnia that Led to a Great Awakening

November 10, 2019 | Perry Kallis

Modern medicine agrees that a good night’s sleep is a key to having a healthy, productive life. But some famous insomniacs also accomplished great things – Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison, and Sir Isaac Newton (to name a few). The Book of Esther even tells us the account of how God used a sleep-deprived king of Persia to “wake” up to events that would change history for God’s purposes. God is always at work, even in (or especially in) small details that can effect great change. The question believers must ask themselves is: Can I have godly perspective in the small events so that God’s glory is advanced in larger ways?
