Tis the Season to be Faithful

Tis the Season to be Faithful

December 08, 2019 | Perry Kallis

We are accustomed to thinking of Christmas as being special for children. After all, kids are the ones most excitedly anticipating its arrival. But the truest Biblical themes surrounding the arrival of Jesus to be our Savior affect not just children or youth, but also senior citizens! In fact, one of the best pre-Christmas stories in the Bible teach lessons of faithfulness using the story of a couple of senior citizens named “Zak and Liz” as they teach us how to persevere and trust God during long seasons of life’s disappointments. These lessons are a wonderful place from which to launch our worship of God on the Sunday we call the advent of peace.
