Good day friends and family. As we all move further into this challenging season of life, something continues to come to my mind and heart. As with any life scenario we face, good or bad, there are pros and cons. There can even be pain in miracles. This season is no different.
Though many of us are struggling more than others during this time when fear abounds, we have all been affected to some degree, and we still don't know fully where we're headed or when we will find ourselves entering into the new "normal"?
That said, may we be encouraged to find the "Diamond In The Rough" in this situation, as I believe there is always something valuable for us to learn about ourselves, and others, if we have ears to hear and are willing to humble ourselves and receive the life lesson offered.
My prayer is that God would help each of us recognize what it is He wants to teach us as we move forward. There IS something for all of us to learn. I've heard it shared before that it's in times of pressure and tribulation, more so than good times, that we find out what we're truly made of. Are we relying on our own wisdom and strength or are we looking to our creator?
It's hard to see so much sickness and death, while so many that we love are literally unraveling, whether emotionally, physically, financially, spiritually or all of the above.
As a man of faith, I hope this prayerfully leads us to our knees in trusting the Lord more than ever before. As hard as it may be to admit, we may be finding things out about ourselves through all of this that is hard to swallow, like the loss of control. Maybe coming to a clearer understanding that in and of ourselves we have little to no control over our daily circumstances even in the best of times?
Maybe that's our "Diamond"? Unchartered territory such as this can serve as a crucible in our lives that helps bring what really matters to the surface, while stripping away, and burning up the negative impurities leaving us with something purer to ponder and live out.
If you're someone who is feeling very lost in this time, who maybe doesn't really know what it is that you believe in, this may be even scarier for you? Maybe your "Diamond" in all of this craziness is finding out how much God loves you? Or maybe you know the truth of God's love and are discouraged, and just need to be reminded that Jesus loves you and is still in control?!
Wherever you find yourself in this moment, with whatever it is you believe in, may Christ bring you His love, peace, confidence, protection, and guidance, one day at a time as He reveals himself on ways we recognize while revealing our "Diamonds In The Rough"
Stay strong and focused on Him!
