An "Honest to God" Point of View

April 18, 2020 | Perry Kallis

Passage: Psalm 8:1-9

Have you ever been photo-bombed? It’s what happens when you are taking a picture and someone, unexpectedly, jumps in front of your camera making themselves the center of attention rather than the image you were intending to capture. Let’s be honest. Being photo-bombed is not as much funny as it is annoying!

But in a way, I am guilty of photo-bombing God every time I have a point of view that begins with ME rather than considering what most glorifies my Lord. This temptation to step in front of God is especially strong during times of trial and change-- like what our world and nation are going through now with all the COVID-19 challenges. Psalm 8 gives some great, relevant advice about making sure our point of view begins with God and not with self-centeredness. Join us for an “honest to God” look at God’s truth in Psalm 8.
