Come On In and Encourage One Another

Passage: Hebrews 10:24-25
It is such a relief and joy to be invited into a special location you desire to enter, especially if you previously had been prevented. That is certainly the case with coming into the presence of our Holy, Almighty God. In the Old Testament, God’s people had layers of priests, sacrifices, and rituals to navigate in order to approach God. But through the grace and sacrificial death of our Lord Jesus, we are invited to visit God’s presence in prayer, and to unite with other believers to find hope and encouragement in doing so. This final “One Another” sermon is based on the theme of “encouraging one another”, to come into God’s presence in worship, prayer, and unity.
Throughout most of history, a general, national crisis has often been a catalyst for bringing people together. What we have all experienced in the past year, however, has seemed to bring about more division than unity. The good news is that God’s good news through Christ still has the only transforming power to change that.
