Desperate Times Call for Desperate Courage!
October 20, 2019 | Perry Kallis
Eddie Richenbacker was the highest decorated American Flying Ace during WW I. He attained 26 aerial victories during a time when pilots carried no parachutes and planes were constructed mostly of canvas and wood! He is quoted as saying, “Courage is continuing to do what you’re afraid to do. In fact, there can be no courage unless you’re first scared!” The fourth chapter of Esther outlines the importance of finding courage to do what is necessary during desperately-frightening times and being motivated even at the cost of one’s own life. The Biblical principles of courage from that chapter still ring true in 2019.
