The Mission Field called: “Family”

May 23, 2021 | Perry Kallis

Passage: Ephesians 6:1-4

Bringing up children in today’s world can make parents feel like Randy Newman’s 2004 song “It's a jungle out there, disorder and confusion everywhere.” Our society has gone from a Leave it to Beaver world to a Bart Simpson world in less than 40 years. But a Christian’s Biblical foundation for bringing up children has not changed. The Apostle Paul wades into this topic in his letter to the Ephesians to declare the truth about turning that jungle into a family mission-field that includes both teaching our children, and entrusting them, to God’s care. We will unpack some of those mission-minded insights as we begin Ephesians 6.
