Unity Requires We Never Forget to Remember

Unity Requires We Never Forget to Remember

May 26, 2019 | Perry Kallis

Forgetting is not the opposite of remembering. In fact, forgetting something unimportant can help us remember something more important. (E.g. Intentionally putting out of my mind where I parked my car last week may help me remember where I parked it today!) Even more importantly, choosing to remember my primary purpose in life today keeps me from floundering in a joyless, purposeless existence for months to come. God intends that believers find unified joy in living God’s mission, but to accomplish that means intentionally never forgetting who I am in Christ with other believers. On this upcoming Memorial Day weekend, Paul’s letter to the Philippians will address the importance of never forgetting to be unified with other believers for God’s eternal purposes.
