Won't You Be My Neighbor

Passage: Luke 10:25-37
The parable of the Good Samaritan is probably the best known of all Jesus’ parables. But I believe it also contains a “miracle” of sorts. Jesus delivers this compelling story to answer “who is my neighbor”, but as his the story unfolds, Jesus miraculously turns a NOUN into a VERB.
Our nation and the world are currently caught up in the fear of spreading a virus, but our actions can also spread a spiritual sickness called: selfishness. Jesus tells this timely story to help us as believers turn the noun – “neighbor” into the godly actions of “neighborliness”. I have found these truths to be practical and helpful as I shop, converse, make decisions, and even relate to others during this unique time in our history, and I trust you will as well.
