Women's EQUIP: Biblical Guidance in Relationships
GracePoint Church Women's Ministries is hosting a morning seminar designed to focus on Biblical guidance in relationships. Workshops will be led by various women who will share on topics pertinent to spiritual growth and growing in our relationships. This event will be hosted on the GracePoint campus on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 9am-12:30pm. Online registration for the morning is $10.00. COVID mandates will be followed.
Workshop Sessions & Speakers will include:
"Identity in Christ" led by Julie Westfall, Bible study writer and teacher: In this ever-changing world it is critical for believers to understand the unchanging nature of the God they serve. Understanding who God is helps us to understand who we are in Him. Come and learn how knowing who God is gives us power to step into the abundant life He has for us.
"Forgiveness" led by Aubrie Wright, Executive Assistant to CDOat Hume Lake ChristianCamp: Is the sin of holding on to your hurt keeping someone from seeing and experiencing Jesus? The hurts are hard and very real, but there is healing and power in forgiveness. Jesus doesn't save us from hurt, but asks us to walk through it with Him. Join Aubrie in the discovery of healing in forgiveness for you and those around you.
"Marital Intimacy" led by Jessie Minassian, speaker, blogger, author, and Associate with Focus on the Family: Our sexually broken culture has bred insecurities, confusion, selfishness and embarrassment surrounding marital intimacy, even in the church. Join Jessie as she shares some guiding principles and practical suggestions to uproot shame, understand God's purpose for sex, and find greater freedom in every area of your marriage.
"Street Level Discipleship" led by Beverly Chao Berrus, writer for Risen Motherhood, TGC, 9Marks; and Laura Shields, Hume Lake Women's Ministry Assistant Director: We're all following and leading others in some way. The big question is who/what are we following and what/who are we leading others to?The Bible teaches that the way to a countercultural, Christlike community, is practical discipleship - Christians following Christ while helping others do the same. Join Beverly and Laura as we focus in on what street-level discipleship looks like and how it plays out in our relationships and everyday life.
