As we continue in the book of Ruth during the Advent season this Sunday, we come to chapter 3. The harvest comes to an end, and so does Ruth’s opportunity to glean and sustain herself and her mother-in-law, Naomi. With the possibility of more uncertainty and suffering on the horizon, Naomi hatches a plan to secure their future and finally bring peace and rest to their lives.
