Learning The Love Lessons of Sin

If we were sitting down to write a romantic letter to our beloved, I doubt if any of us would include the words, advocate, or propitiation in that note. Most people do not even know the true meanings of those words, much less intentionally use them in a love note. But John the apostle used those very terms in the second chapter of his letter to describe the love of our Holy God in dealing with the tragic outcomes of our human sins.
