Behind every letter or note that we receive is a central purpose, be it a thank you or a request, or an offer. So, too, John nears the end of his 1 John letter in 5:13 and re-states his central purpose by stating, “(all) that I’ve written to you as believers, I’ve declared in the name of Jesus, so that you might know you have eternal life.” Having assurance of eternal life changes and enhances the purpose with which we live our earthly life. It affects our daily attitude and even the way we pray. Join us for a look at this passage that outlines the confidence of our assurance in Christ.
